Basketball Court Remediation Works

We’re pleased to advise the Vasse Estate community that remediation works will soon commence on the basketball courts.

The works are being undertaken in two phases and will result in an upgraded and improved court surface. As the works are weather-dependent, the timing of each phase may vary.

Phase 1

Patching & preparation

The first phase involves filling and patching identified low areas of the court to improve the existing surface.

Works are expected to take approximately 5–7 days, with the courts required to be fenced off and closed for the duration of the works.

Subject to suitable weather and contractor availability, Phase 1 works may commence from Monday 17 August 2026 onwards. We expect to receive approximately 48 hours’ notice from the contractor before works commence.

Phase 2

Resurfacing & line marking

The second phase will involve resurfacing the courts and making good the line marking.

This phase is expected to take approximately 7 days and is anticipated to commence from October 2026 onwards, when weather conditions are more suitable for this type of work.

The courts will again be closed for the duration of the works.

What to expect

We understand the basketball courts are an important recreational facility for the Vasse Estate community and appreciate your patience while these improvements are completed.

As the works are highly dependent on suitable weather conditions and contractor availability, firm closure dates cannot be confirmed at this stage.

We will provide further updates including confirmation of the closure dates, as soon as these are known.

Thank you for your understanding while we work towards delivering an improved basketball court surface for the community.
