Vasse Estate is providing sustainable options for environmentally-conscious home buyers.
A new collaboration between Dale Alcock Homes South West, Stinson Air and the developers of Vasse Estate is giving South West residents the opportunity to see firsthand the functionality and benefits of including solar on their new home build.
With the cost of living rapidly rising, residents are increasingly looking for new ways to save, with more local families ensuring their homes are energy-efficient, whilst also reducing emissions.
Solar Fit Out
To help home buyers to get a true sense of what their new energy-efficient home could look like, Dale Alcock Homes have fitted out their ‘Montauk’ display home located in Vasse Estate, with the latest in solar technology including panels and 6.86kWh battery storage, a first for the region.
The display home’s solar system size is 5.19 kW and it is estimated to produce 9,933 kWh annually, with a system efficiency of 85%.
Likely Cost Savings
“Now more than ever we’re seeing more people opting for solar panels and battery systems installed during their new home build. It’s a small investment initially that will on average, save you at least $2,375 per year in electricity costs, depending on your usage and number of panels,” said Ben Beven, Sales Development Manager at Dale Alcock Homes South West.
“It’ll also increase your homes value, and there are tax credits and rebates from the Government available to homeowners which will help offset the upfront costs of installation,” he added.
Sustainability
In addition, by choosing solar you’re reducing your carbon footprint and making a positive impact on the environment as well as your hip pocket.
“Sustainability is a founding development principle of Vasse Estate. From retaining trees and recycling materials, to strategic placement of parks and encouraging individual landowners to build sustainably, careful consideration is given to preserving the beauty of our environment at each stage of development,” said Lyle Kenny, General Manager – Land Developments of Perron Developments for the owners, Vasse Development Partners.
