Community Garden Taking Root

Excitement is in the air for the Vasse Community Garden is set to take root later this year.

Why not seize the opportunity to cultivate both soil and connections and join our committee?  Here’s a few reasons why it’s a great idea to join.

From the Ground Up

Joining a community garden from the start is special. You’re not just a gardener; you’re a co-creator, shaping its identity and deciding what grows.

Growing Together

Starting fresh means we all learn and grow together. Whether you’re experienced or new to gardening, building this garden is a shared journey of learning. You’ll get to form camaraderie, celebrate successes and support one other.

Community-Building Events

Community gardens often start with planning events, workshops and gatherings. These shape the garden’s future and also allow you to connect with fellow gardeners. Through activities like seed swaps and collaborative planting, you’ll share a sense of unity and purpose.

Local Green Oasis

A community garden can be a calming, green oasis. It can offer an escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life.

Harvest

As the garden matures, the harvest becomes a communal celebration. Imagine the satisfaction of enjoying vegetables and herbs you’ve nurtured. The harvest becomes a symbol of the collaborative effort and shared commitment to sustainability.

Joining the Vasse Community Garden

Join our Vasse Community Garden committee. Be part of shaping the garden’s identity, growing together, and enjoying community-building events. We hold monthly meetings and have flexible volunteer opportunities for events and fundraising.
