For the first time ever, Vasse Cricket Club have entered a brand new A-grade team into their Summer competition. Adding to the excitement, it’s the first time that a new A-grade team has been joined the Busselton Margaret River Cricket Association in over 20 years!

This historic season will also see 3 senior Vasse teams fielded in A, B & C grades of the competition.

The Club decided to include an A-Grade side to offer a full cricket path for aspiring juniors. This will help to promote the junior program and ensure the long-term success of the Club as a whole.

Shane Bromilow, member of the VCC Committee and A-Grade Captain, said, “Our objective as a club is for continual growth in member and player numbers, inclusiveness, and integration within the Vasse community.”

“We have a strategic plan to heighten our Club’s profile, be a true partner with the growing Vasse community, and continue to promote junior cricket in all levels.”

So far the inaugural A-grade team have won 2 games and sit just outside the top 4 – well done to all involved!

Training is every Thursday at 5pm at the Vasse Sporting Complex on Napoleon Promenade, opposite Vantage at Vasse. You might have even noticed the new Club signage on display at the cricket nets.
