The Margaret River Region Open Studios (MRROS) event has become one of the largest of its kind in Australia. More than 100 artists open their doors to visitors during the event.
Running from 25 April to 10 May 2020, MRROS offers art lovers the rare chance to visit private art studios, meet the artists and get an exclusive behind the scenes look at works in progress.
2020 MRROS Artists
Artists in this year’s event include respected names such as Leon Pericles, Rachel Coad, Lauren Wilhelm, Ian Mutch, Christian Fletcher & John Miller. You can see some of Ian’s art if you look up in the Vasse Village Arcade.
MRROS Vasse Village Workshops
In a very exciting MRROS first, seven exclusive workshops will be held right here in Vasse Village! The workshops will be run by local artists Dee Credaro, Stephany Durack and Cate Edwards on various dates from 28 April to 9 May 2020. They are open to anyone visiting or living in the region.
Jackson’s Drawing Supplies & Vasse Village have partnered up to bring a choice of workshops, perfect for beginners or developing artists wanting to try something new.
Landscape with Dee Credaro
Dee isa proponent of many different media and loves to share her knowledge of visual art techniques and media.
- Rural Landscape in Pastels – 28 April 2020, 10am-4pm
- Rural Landscape in Inks – 2 May 2020, 10am-4pm
- Intuitive Landscape in Acrylics with Limited Pallette – 5 May 2020, 10am-4pm.
Design with Water Colour with Cate Edwards
Cate has been running art classes for over 30 years. She aims to inspire good design, creative play and at least one finished work that the student will be happy to frame. This one day workshop will explore opaque and transparent paint. Suitable for all levels

Express yourself with Stephany Durack
Stephany Durack has a passion for unlocking creativity. She helps people produce artworks that are authentic. Mindfulness and self expression are at the heart of her approach to painting. The stunning Capes bays and seascapes are the subject of these workshops
- Cape Naturaliste Live – 7 May, 10am-4pm
- Meelup Mindfulness – 9 May, 9.30am-12pm
- Naturaliste Bay – 9 May, 1pm-5pm.
