Vasse is also close to Dunsborough, Busselton and the Margaret River region. So you’re spoilt for choice with restaurants, wineries, events and entertainment options.
Close to work
Work is close by, with Busselton ten minutes one way and Dunsborough ten minutes in the other direction.
Margaret River and Bunbury are also easy to access when you pop on to the bypass.
History began in Vasse thousands of years ago
History began in Vasse thousands of years ago with the Wadandi people who lived in this lush pocket of the South West. The farming pioneers arrived in the area in 1841, cultivating the land for early settler use.
Formerly named Newtown, Vasse was christened in honour of the Vasse River and Vasse Estuary. These names were given after the French seaman, Timothee Thomas Vasse, who disappeared in the area in June 1801, during explorer Nicolas Baudin’s expedition.

As important as it is to honour our past, it is vital we plan for the future. Vasse has been built as a sustainable community, designed with energy efficiency in mind and uses materials sourced from the local area.

Vasse Sporting Complex - Playing Fields In Use
Join the local sporting community at Vasse with one of the many clubs in this picturesque pocket of the South West. The Vasse Sporting Complex is currently in stage three of construction, with grassed playing fields for football, soccer and cricket already complete.
The next construction phase will see hard courts, a bowling green and club rooms built at the Vasse Sporting Complex, creating a state-of-the-art facility for all to use.
