Vasse Primary School celebrates 150 years of excellence in education this year. This huge milestone was marked by a weekend of celebrations on 8 & 9 November.
The weekend kicked off with a Gala event complete with historical display and ‘Faces of Vasse’ community stories. Vasse Estate proudly sponsored the celebrations, providing commemorative medallions for staff & students.
“As a school we really wanted the students to remember this occasion for the rest of their lives. With the most generous support from Vasse Estate, we were able to make this happen. The staff and students were delighted to receive their 150th anniversary coins during the celebration week,” said Sinan Kerimofski, Vasse Primary School Principal.
Vasse History at Ye Olde Fair
A Ye Olde Fair on Saturday 9 November took everyone back in time – literally! A time capsule from 1994 was unearthed with timeless relics from past students, teachers and community members.
Commemorative pavers were also designed at the Fair. These will be laid at the school entrance for everyone to enjoy.

Vasse Long Table Graze
The rich heritage of our community was also celebrated at the inaugural Vasse Long Table Graze on Saturday 26 October. It began with a captivating Welcome to Country by the Undalup Association’s Wadandi Cultural Custodian Zac Webb.
