Vasse Village by Bunbury Farmers Market Opens In Vasse

Vasse Village by Bunbury Farmers Market opened for shopping in Vasse on 5 December 2024.  This is the second store to open in Western Australia, following on from the overwhelming success of the original Bunbury Farmers Market, which first opened in 2003.

CEO Leith Johnston said,

“We’re incredibly excited to open our doors at Vasse Village and bring our fresh food offering to this vibrant community. Our goal has always been to deliver extreme value and freshness to our guests, and with the opening of this new store, we look forward to sharing the same high-quality, locally grown produce and 100% Market Made products that have made Bunbury Farmers Market a beloved destination in the South West region.”

Genuinely Fresh Local Produce

  • Do you know that 90% of the fresh fruit & veg you see at the Farmers’ Market was in the ground 2 days beforehand?
  • And between 70% and 90% of their fresh produce comes from local growers in WA.
  • All of the Bunbury Farmers Market milk has a minimum of 9 days until the use by date.

Some Exciting Additions

In addition to the amazingly fresh, local produce and delicious meals provided at the original Bunbury Farmers Market, the Vasse Village Bunbury Farmers Market will get a few extra special additions. Johnston gave us some sneaky insights into what we can expect.

What exciting things will the store include? I have heard there will be a gluten free section and a cafe?

“At Vasse Village by Bunbury Farmers Market, guests can look forward to an enhanced café experience with new and exciting food options that we’ll reveal closer to our grand opening on December 5th. We’re also thrilled to introduce a dedicated Gluten Free kitchen, where we’ll be making a variety of 100% Market Made products suitable for guests with gluten allergies and sensitivities—something our community has been asking for, and we’re excited to deliver.”

Where will your fresh goods be sourced?

“Just like at our Bunbury store, we’ll continue our proud partnerships with over 150 local growers, farmers, and producers, ensuring we bring the freshest, highest-quality produce to the people of Vasse. Our relationships with these local growers span decades, and we’re excited to support them even further with our new store. For example, every single apple we sell is grown right here in the South West—including those used in our delicious Market Made Manjimup Apple Pies.”

Any additions or changes to the original Bunbury Farmers Market that you think customers will be excited about?

“Vasse Village by Bunbury Farmers Market will build on everything our guests love about our original Bunbury location, with some fresh new features designed for the Vasse community. We’ve got a few new concepts in store, so be sure to follow us on Facebook and Instagram for sneak peeks and announcements as we get closer to opening day!”
