Heart Foundation Vasse Walking Group

We know how important health and wellbeing is to our Vasse community. So, we’re excited to welcome the Heart Foundation Walking Group initiative to Vasse.

When is the first Vasse Walk?

When:  9am on Wednesday 10 March 2021

Where: Meet at the Timothee Vasse Statue, corner of Northerly St & Napoleon Prom, Vasse Village

How Long: 45-60 minutes walking time, plus a social coffee afterwards if you have time

About Heart Foundation Walking Groups

Walking as a group is a great way to meet people and explore our community. Plus, it’s great for your health! Walking an average of 30 minutes or more per day can improve your mental health and lower the risk of heart disease, stroke and Type 2 diabetes.

Walker Recognition Scheme

Register through the Heart Foundation website and join the Walker Recognition Scheme. You’ll receive certificates, incentives and merchandise discounts for reaching walking milestones.

Become a Walk Organiser

If you love walking and socialising with your community, why not register your interest in being a Walk Organiser. As an Organiser, you will:

  • Plan walking routes for the group
  • Coordinate the day & time of future walks
  • Welcome new group members
