Bunbury Farmers Market Coming To Vasse

The renowned Bunbury Farmers Market have recently secured a site in Vasse Village to expand their South West operations.

Set to replicate the hugely successful Bunbury store, the same café, fresh produce and ready-made meal lines that shoppers know and love will be offered at the new Vasse premises.

The new location is on Coomidup Boulevard, which connects Vasse Village to Bussell Highway. Development of the site is still subject to statutory approvals which are now being progressed.

With many opportunities for expansion across the state, Bunbury Farmers Market owner Graham Heath identified Vasse Village as the ideal location for their next site due to its growing community and easy access to Busselton, Dunsborough and Margaret River.

Graham said, “The team and I at Bunbury Farmers Market are extremely excited to be able to build what is hoped to be a world class South West fresh food market in Vasse.”

“Capitalising on our 40 years of experience we will be improving on what has been created at our Bunbury market, whilst continuing to deliver an exceptional shopping experience.”

After experiencing record visitation over the 2020/2021 summer period, the addition of the Farmers Market sees another significant business join an already thriving Vasse Village.

Vasse Village selling agent Sam Hanson from Hanson Property said this was a huge moment for Vasse, the greater South West community and visitors to the area.

“Being a big fan of the Bunbury Farmers Market myself, striking a deal with such a quality offering was an exciting negotiation to be involved in. It was also very encouraging to have the same excitement shown by the Farmers Market,” Mr Hanson said.

“We are all now focused on the approvals process and looking forward to the construction phase, and ultimately shopping at the Bunbury Farmers Market in Vasse!”

Speaking on behalf of the joint development partners, Perron Group General Manager of Land Development Lyle Kenny said the creation and nurturing of a vibrant Vasse Village had always been central to the vision for the local area.

“Right from the outset we have sought to focus on using innovative design, landscaping and public artworks to give the Village its own unique personality,” Mr Kenny said.

“Hand-in-hand with this approach has been to ensure local residents have easy access to a range of shops, retail outlets and professional services that serve their day-to-day needs and make Vasse Village a destination of choice. The addition of the Farmers Market will significantly enhance that appeal.”

Subject to the relevant approvals being received, Vasse by Bunbury Farmers Market is anticipated to open in the second half of 2023.
